Vitcas Pompeii pizza oven review

If you have never enjoyed the amazing taste of pizza from a traditional wood fired oven then quite simply you have never fully enjoyed pizza.

Across the Mediterranean most families own some sort of outside wood fired oven for cooking bread, stews and of course pizzas. The thermal mass of the oven heats up quickly to 500 degrees Celsius with the thermal mass radiating heat for exceptionally quick cooking. The rapid way wood burning ovens cook mean they can allow foods to remain moist while perfectly cooked. Pizzas become beautifully crispy but moist and creamy. Perfect!

There are very few pizza ovens on the market that actually replicate the real thing but the Vitcas Pompeii wood fired oven is different. Boasting a realistic traditional look this wood fired pizza oven can become a garden feature. The oven comes in 5 sections which are to be assembled on site. When assembled the oven dome sits on a moulded plinth which allows you to custom make its stand or utility area. The oven can be placed on top of a brick built platform outside or built into a kitchen workspace.  The Vitcas Pompeii pizza oven is designed beautifully to fit in with other garden or interior styles and themes including modern or traditional.

The Vitcas Pompeii Pizza oven is manufactured using high quality refractory materials in the United Kingdom; it comes in 5 sections which are fused together using the supplied heat resistant silicone. The oven can cook up to 4 pizzas at a time and can even be used to cook bread or keep food warm during social occasions.

The oven kit includes:

The wood fired oven (in 5 sections) the external dimensions of which are 1,000mm wide x 1,120mm deep x440mm high. The internal dimensions are 800mm high x 400mm wide and 350 kilograms in weight.

Two tubes of Vitcas heat resistant silicone, cast iron door with heat resistant glass, door with thermometer up to 500 degrees, a stainless steel metal chimney flue with cowl and damper, 5 kilograms of Vitcas outdoor oven cement.

We found the oven is quite easy to assemble and with a little basic DIY know how its easy to use the silicone cement. With a little garden / interior design planning this wood fired oven can be a real focal point with many Italian restaurants choosing this oven for their kitchens. If you want something that is truly unique that will get your friends jealous every time they visit then the Vitcas Pompeii pizza oven is the one for you. Out of all the wood fired ovens on the market this is the only one in our opinion that has a truly traditional look with special design potential.

You will never go back once you are used to preparing your own pizza in your very own traditional pizza oven. The Pompeii Pizza oven also gives you the foundation for a whole new way to cook breads, stews, roasts and a whole lot more. It also opens the door to a new way of cooking with many recipes from the Mediterranean, North Africa, Middle East and Asia reliant on wood fired ovens.  Click below for more information!

Pizza will always be my favorite food. Whenever I go out, it is very impossible for me to not eat pizza or pasta at all. I guess if there is a food shortage, I would really be fine, even if I only have Pizza for the whole month. I have tasted different kinds of pizza and one of my favorites is the Delci's Pizza which really has a special cheese on it. It was really a good idea to have a pizza parlor.

The oven kit looks very vulnerable. I guess having this one would be such a great help, most especially for those who love cooking. Aside from using a gasoline, I guess woods would be the best alternative. Aside from lesser expense in cooking, it really makes the cooking faster. This product must be promoted more and I guess it is worth the advertisement. I have been into countries and this is also an effective equipment for them as well.
